the_rckI have signed up for Yuletide. I offered sixteen fandoms and requested three (I couldn't find a fourth to request that I wouldn't be disappointed to receive instead of one of the first three). I'm reasonably sure of my ability to write what I offered, but I'm sure the actual request I get, whatever it may be, will induce panic. That seems to be the way of things.
I've done almost no work on chapter 20 of Rheotaxis so far this month. I'm not pleased with this state of affairs but can't seem to buckle down and do the work. I'm so close to done with the draft that I can practically taste it. I still hope to finish the draft before Yuletide assignments go out. If I can do that, I can do the editing/rewriting relatively quickly and post the dratted thing. I will finish this story some day. I will. Maybe some day, I'll even manage to write all the other epically long stories I've got in my head. I just have to finish this one first.
