(no subject)

My gallbladder comes out on Tuesday. The surgeon's office called me yesterday to tell me. I still don't know what time the surgery will be. I'm supposed to call on Monday to find out.

I had the pre-op appointment today. They had to squeeze me into a fully booked schedule this morning. I didn't know that I didn't actually have a formal appointment until after Cordelia and I were already there. Fortunately, they got me in quickly.

I was worried that Cordelia would freak out over the talk of surgery, but I think she's not sure what the word means. She was mainly pleased that she won't be around when Mama gets hurt. She'll be spending the week with her cousins. That has been planned for a couple of months, so this week is the best time all summer for the surgery to happen from that point of view.

At any rate, good thoughts, prayers and so on that all goes well will be gratefully appreciated.
