The surgery is over. I'm home. Everything went well. I'm still doped up from the anesthesia, so don't expect me to be coherent.

I don't think I'll need any help. Scott's off this week, so he can take care of Cordelia. I'm mostly working on learning how to eat again.

As it turns out, I think it's best Scott took the day off for the surgery. I didn't get out of there until after 7 p.m. It was a long, long day. They had us arrive at 11 a.m.

Wow. Sounds like Cordelia picked a good week to be away, so that you didn't need to be worrying about hurrying to pick her up from somewhere.

In terms of Cordelia management, last week was the best time all summer for the surgery. That part came as a great relief. She even had a lot of fun with her cousins (she just cried every time she talked to us).

I'm recovering more slowly than the pre-op information predicted, but I am recovering. Every day is a little bit better, though.

According to the surgeon, the gall bladder was inflamed. He thought that I must have been experiencing discomfort from it. I hadn't noticed. We'll see how I feel after everything's better, I suppose.
