This is wonderful The Narnia fic. I love Frank and Helen stories and you've wonderfully captured the simple goodness and wisdom of them as well as the HUGE problems of being stranded in a new world with nothing but a bunch of talking animals. Aslan's comment about how your joy will make you loved was just lovely and I really like the echoes of what Fledge says to Digory and Polly -- that Aslan would have provided something for their journey if they had asked because he likes to be asked. This piece resonates that bit of the story wonderfully. I'll leave another review over on AO3. Here, I'll just say that I'm a rotten beta, but really, other than an odd typo or two, I would not change a thing. I thought this was a little awkward: in fact, but what they stood up in and a great wilderness filled with creatures for which she and Frank were now responsible.
and typo here knowledge of how spin and weave, and here
Digory might have chosen not to not to ring that bell.

A lovely, lovely fic.

autumnia: The apple orchard in Cair Paravel (Pevensies (at the Cair))

I read "Genesis" on [livejournal.com profile] rthstewart's recommendation. What a lovely little story about Frank and Helen! There aren't that many out there about the first King and Queen of Narnia, and I loved how they brought their concerns and worries to Aslan. As hard as it was for four children to take the throne, it was probably just as difficult for a Victorian couple to suddenly become King and Queen in a strange land, and ruling over talking Animals and other Creatures known only from fairy tales and myths.
