the_rckDear Parallels Fic author-- Thank you so much for offering one of my fandoms! I hope my request is a source of inspiration rather than frustration.
If you want to see fic I've written, the best way is to go to my website. My website has everything. AO3 doesn't have my works in progress or my old Yuletide fics. My website also has a large section of recommendations (all old. I haven't updated in years), so you can see stories I've liked in the past.
I like stories that explore character relationships and personalities. I like stories that expand on the world shown in canon to show me things only implied by canon. I like divergent AUs, the sort where one event goes differently and change ripples out from that. I enjoy crossovers (if I've written it or rec'd it, I probably know the canon well enough to enjoy a crossover) but would prefer the main focus of the fic be on the fandom I've requested here.
I can't deal with harm to children. I don't like vampires, unicorns or zombies. I'm not a big fan of transplant AUs, the sort where everybody's in a rock band or in high school.
I've been tending to read and write more gen these days, but I don't object to mild sexual or romantic content if it serves the story. I probably won't enjoy a pure PWP, especially since a lot of the characters in these fandoms are young. I'd rather not read about underage characters having sex. If we matched on Ayatsuri Sakon, please no puppet sex.
For my own reference, my requests are listed below.
Planet Ladder (any character) - I'm really curious about Bamvivrie, but I will love any story about any character in this fandom. When I said 'any' under characters, I meant it. I think that part of what caught my attention about Planet Ladder was the sense that there were a lot of stories not told, a lot of things hinted at and not shown.
Ayatsuri Sakon/Puppet Master Sakon (Tachibana Sakon, Ukon (Ayatsuri Sakon) - I find the interplay between Sakon and Ukon fascinating. Sakon depends so heavily on Ukon. I'll be happy with either anime or manga continuity, but I haven't read the manga (I don't mind spoilers in the least).
Shamanic Princess (any character) - I'm interested in more here-- more backstory, more of what comes after, more about the character relationships. I don't think you could write a story that would leave me unhappy.
Full Metal Panic (Sagara Sousuke) - I find Sousuke's difficulties with every day life amusing and fascinating. I'd love to see him exploring something mundane that he finds confusing, something that he's trying to understand.
