the_rckI'm stalled out on my writing. I'm trying to write a character who's drunk, and I've forgotten what that feels like. I got drunk once or twice in college, more than twenty years ago now, and simply haven't since. I've been tipsy in the way that passes after an hour or two but not drunk.
Experimenting with getting drunk isn't on the agenda. I'm not willing to do it while Delia is around and awake, and by the time she's truly in bed, it's a bit late to be taking in a diuretic in large quantities (I need my sleep!).
At any rate, it occurred to me that some people reading this might have a more recent memory of what being drunk feels like. I'm screening comments on this entry in hopes that somebody will take pity on me and share.
