the_rckIngrid called me Thursday night right after I got home from watching anime. I'd told her she could call any time she needed to talk, and I meant it. She spent the day packing her things while her ex watched and talked to her. Ingrid might not have had anyone to help her move her stuff on when she moved on Saturday. I wish we were closer. I'm not able to lift and carry much, but Scott is.
We talked for a while, moving on from her situation to other lighter topics. She sounds like she's doing well, all things considered. The situation's horrible. She still loves Joker, but Joker's illness makes remaining together dangerous for Ingrid. Joker doesn't want her to go but still considers her an active part of the massive evil conspiracy. Even worse, Joker's insurance company is refusing to tell her where she can go to get treatment under their plan. I could tell that Ingrid wants badly to help, but she knows that she can't get entangled that way.
Joker's also threatening not to continue looking after Ingrid's cats. Ingrid can't take them to her new place because the people she's moving in with already have cats who've been declawed. Her cats still have claws and would be threat to the natives. Joker's not saying that she's unwilling more that she thinks something might happen so that she won't be around any more. Anyway, Ingrid's next project is to try to find someone else to take in the cats if need be.
