Thursday, I had lunch with my mother-in-law. She had to be down here to talk to a doctor about her mammogram. On previous occasions, she'd always had the mammogram and talked to the doctor on the same day, but they've changed their policy so that she couldn't do that this time (makes no sense to me at all). At any rate, she took me to Bob Evans. We both had potato soup, and we split a salad. She strongly recommended that I try to find a Bible study group; she's been doing one for quite a while now and is about to start leading a discussion section. I was polite about it and didn't explain my real problems with doing something of the sort; I just mentioned that I'd feel a need to learn Hebrew, Greek and Latin if I were going to study the Bible seriously. I don't see any reason to precipitate a problem by telling her that I don't really consider myself a Christian.

LunarGeography's husband wasn't working Thursday, so I didn't see her until evening when she picked me up to go to Matt's to watch anime. We stopped at Joann's on the way to pick up some more of the yarn I've been knitting with. I was about half way through the first ball (having unraveled everything to start over at one point), and it was clear that I'd need more in order to produce a scarf. I think that buying another three was probably overkill, but… They only had three, and I'd rather have too much than too little. (Oh, and according to my mother-in-law, I knit "backward." What she means is that, in spite of being right handed, I knit left handed. That meant that the stitches weren't where or what she expected when she looked. I have no idea why I knit left handed. It just sort of happened.)

Justin was back from his trip and came over here to attempt some networked games with Scott while I was gone. From what I gather, they ran into technical difficulties that they eventually overcame (I suspect that dealing with those was part of the fun, but I'm not going to ask). Scott told me when I got home that Justin's gotten into Maryland. We'll miss him. I think Scott will miss him more than I will; Justin's his closest (and most reliable!) local friend. Justin still says he wants to come back to this area; I hope that works out.

Interesting. Did you learn to knit sitting across from someone, and unconsciously "mirroring" them? That is, after all, how left-handed people are recommended to learn from right-handers....

I'm glad you have an LJ now. It is very nice, hearing about your life. ^_^

Onegai....could you convince Amy to e-mail me? I miss her........*plaintive howl*

*coughs* Sorry, reading Werewolf books lately......
