Apr. 15th, 2002 02:54 pmLunarGeography ended up putting in a lot of time working on the LARP. Part of it was that she was around and so kind of got hit with the bits and pieces that were falling all around me (I'd have picked most of them up eventually, but with her assistance I didn't have to), and part of it was that she felt a little bad for persuading me to go out on the walk during which I fell. I think the guilt was unreasonable since she didn't make the sidewalk uneven just there. The walk was actually quite a good idea. The weather was lovely, and I had some misdelivered mail to pass along to a neighbor. (We live on a short street, about two blocks long with another even shorter cul-de-sac off of it. Both streets have much the same house numbers, and the names are similar. The post office gets things mixed up often enough that my husband has a sign on our mailbox reminding people which street we're on. Surprisingly, it helps.)
At any rate, I had a hard time sitting at the keyboard for a while, and there were things that needed to be done. LunarGeography stepped forward and did some typing for me and supervised to make sure I didn't wear myself out doing "just one more thing." She made me nap at one point while she took over the task of cleaning characters from the February game out of folders so that we could reuse them. Friday night, after we finished all of the game preparations (Finally!), Scott took LunarGeography and me out for dessert and a drink. She introduced me to Long Island iced tea which I'd never previously tried, while Scott watch with great amusement (He doesn't partake of alcohol and never has but enjoys watching other people do so).
