I sliced my left pointer finger today. I was using scissors and misjudged where my finger was. It's really hard to touch type when I can't use one finger. That finger is meant to hit quite a lot of keys. The cut's pretty deep. It isn't bleeding anymore, however, so I'm going to see how it's doing tomorrow.

Thanks! I'm hoping it heals fast. Showering tomorrow will be a challenge, at least the hair washing part. I hate wet bandaids, but I don't dare leave it uncovered.

Have you tried finger cots? That's what they're designed for...I think CVS usually carries them, if not maybe a local pharmacy?

Finger cots sound like a good idea. I think I'll ask Scott to pick some up tomorrow on his way home. We've got some full size gloves. I can use one of those to protect my finger when I shower tomorrow. It'll be weird, but it should work if I'm careful.
