the_rckWe just got back from the last volleyball game of the season. For once, the girls won two out of the three rounds (usually they win one). It was extra difficult today-- They expanded the size of the court, making it both wider and deeper. Serves that would have gone over before didn't make it. Scott speculates that the court was probably always supposed to be this size, just that nobody realized it was wrong until this week. Still, that's a heck of a thing to spring on the girls. Cordelia says she wants to play volleyball again, so we'll likely be back again next year.
The plan for the rest of the day is to take Cordelia to Scott's sister's house. We'll leave her there while we go shopping. Scott's sister will likely take Cordelia and her daughter up to Scott's parents' place to try to get it ready for them to come home to on Tuesday, in general and by putting up Christmas decorations. I'm not sure where Scott and I will shop. There's a Target near Scott's sister's house, but we can't really spend all of the five hours we'll have there. I don't know where else we can go, however. We'll have to ask Scott's sister.
The current plan is for us to pick Cordelia up at five, before dinner. That might change, though. It would be nice for me and Scott to have time for dinner alone together. Scott's sister's family is planning to go to an outdoor concert at six, and they're willing to take Cordelia along. (They're going because our nephew needs points for his music class and can earn them by attending concerts. I think the concert is tuba music.)
