Mar. 28th, 2017 08:30 amUHS offered me two options: 2:15 which conflicts with Cordelia’s 2:30 PT appointment and 4:00 which is just barely possible if Scott actually gets off work on time. PT ends at 3:30, and it’s a ten to fifteen minute drive to UHS from the PT place at that time of day. I texted Scott, and he said he’s pretty sure he can get out of work on time. I worry because that hasn’t always been a reliable thing, but he’s more assertive about necessity for such things when it’s for me or Cordelia, so I’m giving it about a 90% chance. It’s about twenty miles for him to get back from work, so 3:30 is a likely arrival time if he leaves at 3:00.
Okay, I’m going to drink a lot of water and then lie down and listen to audiobooks for a while.

Date: 2017-03-28 05:18 pm (UTC)As always, good luck to you and Cordelia on the school decisions, yikes. And its sad (but kinda sweet?) that she is blaming herself for your physical health. I think she might be more anxious and self-blamey than I am, and that's saying something, lol. Seriously, though, I wish the best for you both.
[It's cool that you have access to bubble tea. I've never seen it in real life.]

Date: 2017-03-29 08:08 pm (UTC)I like bubble tea a lot if it is flavored and has the tapioca pearls. I like how the pearls feel in my mouth (Other people I know are repulsed by the same thing, so it's definitely not for everybody), and I have definite preferences about how they're prepared. Bubble tea on its own tastes to me much like any other green tea with juice/juice flavored sugar water added. I know it's supposed to be prepared differently from regular green tea, but I can't tell the difference.
We have a few different local places that have it. The place we usually go does very little else, but all the other places are restaurants that carry it as an extra thing.
Kids often will assume that things that happen around them happen because of them, particularly bad things. Some of that is a way of feeling in control (even if it's negative), and some of that is that our culture wants bad things to have reasons.
