Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations. Paris and New Jersey - I stopped after two episodes even though there were six more in the set from the library. I just wasn’t interested. The lack of captioning didn’t help, either. The only bit I really enjoyed was Bourdain in an Asian grocery store. He had no idea what anything was and wanted to find out.

Class episodes 1 and 2 - Too violent and gory for me, so we gave up halfway through the second episode. I was also annoyed because the premise relies in part on the Doctor having done something that I consider vastly out of character.

Dirk Gently episode 1 - This was too violent and too frenetic for me. I couldn’t follow what was going on and really didn’t enjoy being there for it, so I stopped. Scott thinks that I wouldn’t have liked the rest any better.

Doctor Who: The Android Invasion - Fourth Doctor with Sarah Jane Smith. The android duplicates were fairly creepy. The actors must have had fun with that part.

Doctor Who: Image of the Fendahl - Fourth Doctor with Leela. That was an incredibly silly looking monster, even by old Who standards.

Doctor Who: The Return of Doctor Mysterio - Twelfth Doctor, Christmas special 2016. I thought Scott had seen this, but I put a hold on it so I could see it. As it turned out, he hadn’t seen the whole thing. I thought it was all kind of silly, and while the head splitting to retrieve a handgun thing looks impressive, I kept wondering why the gun continued to work.

Doctor Who: The War Games - Second Doctor with Zoe and Jamie. This is a three DVD set. I didn’t bother having Netflix send me the third disc because it was just bonus features.

Doctor Who: The Web of Fear - Second Doctor with Victoria and Jamie. The monster of the week is the Yeti which I hadn’t seen before, and a Colonel Lethbridge-Stewart appears for the first time (at least, no one recognizes him, so I’m assuming). Knowing who he was removed one potential suspect for the spy. At least one episode was just audio with some photographs.

Glee. Seasons ?? Episodes?? - Cordelia has watched this before and decided to rewatch some of it in the living room with me and Scott. I didn’t hate it, but it definitely wasn’t my sort of thing. I had the impression that the teenage characters and the adult characters were in different shows, completely different genres of show. I liked the music, but I won’t watch the series because both the teen drama and the adult comedy would drive me up the wall.

Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries season 3 - This was my second try at this season, and I was pleased to make it through this time. I don't remember why I stopped last time. I still adore the acting. I'm not entirely pleased by the various romantic subplots. Hugh/Dot makes less sense this season. I wonder if the writers thought that period appropriate delays for their wedding wouldn't make sense to viewers. As I recall, in the books, it was them saving up money and putting together the things they'd need for a household, bit by bit, as they could make them or afford to buy them.

Murder She Wrote season 3 - I found myself evaluating the acting ability (or lack thereof) of the guest stars. The older the actor the more likely they were to be good. This season has a crossover with Magnum P. I. The first part was on the last DVD as an extra while the second part was the fifth episode of the season and so on the second DVD. That made for some confusion because everything depended on events and character development from the first half. I suppose I should be glad the Magnum episode was there at all.

A Prairie Home Companion: Spring ??? - I forgot to write down the exact title of this before I sent it back to Netflix, and I’m too lazy at the moment to look it up to see what it was. This was just an hour of one of the shows. It wasn’t particularly visually interesting, so it would have worked just as well on CD.

Reign season ?? episodes ?? - Cordelia watched some of this while Scott and I were in the room. She’s peeved with me over my reaction to the ahistoricity (is that a word? It ought to be) of the whole show. I’d much rather they just did a secondary world or something vaguely Ruritanian. Cordelia has pointed out that all she knows about the era is what Wikipedia told her when she looked up Mary, Queen of Scots, after binge watching the first season or two. She almost gave up on the show when the guy she shipped with Mary died. She says that she knows that he did die, historically, but she’s still mad.

White Collar season 2 - This is generally charming and fun to watch. I’m more interested in the supporting cast than I am in Neil or Peter. I don’t mind them, but they’re not so apt to surprise me.
