Oct. 28th, 2017 11:06 amI saw my psychiatrist yesterday. She said that actually my problems with napping right now-- as in no longer being able to-- are probably age related. That people my age pretty much stop being able to. I didn't growl at her about the fact that knowing that doesn't help the underlying problem which is that our family schedule isn't allowing me to sleep enough at night. She also thought that the doubled Halcion dose might have had a hangover effect that lowered my anxiety levels.
In Ingress, I managed to make it to level 11 yesterday while I was out. I hadn't thought that I would because, when I got downtown for my appointment, it looked like there wasn't going to be much I could do to rack up points, but I managed to find enough portals held by the other team that I got the level up right before I got to Totoro for lunch. My inventory, even with the bonus gear that came with the new level, has taken a significant hit. Level 12 will be harder because I need two more gold badges and am not near to getting them. I think those will be harder than the points.
I sent my brother an email for his birthday on Thursday, and he called me last night. We talked for about half an hour. He thinks our parents are going to spend part of December in Michigan. I don't know that we'll get over that way to visit them because of Scott's brother and his family visiting from Seattle and because Cordelia's planning to volunteer during the later part of break.
I really need to buckle down and write those characters for UCon. I'm running out of time. I've got three weeks to finish seven characters. It's entirely doable apart from the sleep problem.
Last night, I intended to go to bed early, but things kept coming up, and I ended up talking to a friend online for a while, someone I don't intersect with much due to time zones. Cordelia woke me twice between 8:00 and 9:00. I tried to go back to sleep but couldn't manage it in spite of still being very tired.

Date: 2017-10-29 09:14 am (UTC)That sounds like nonsense. I'm 58 and my SO is 67 and we both often take naps.
