the_rckHm. I went through my WIP folder and my list of sequels I have planned and pulled out the things I think I might be able to finish quickly. It's actually a long list, and I kind of wish I had an easy way to color code it or something. I want to make things I have words written for stand out from those that don't, make the ones I'm stuck on also stand out and the ones I started less than three months ago and the ones that are sequels and the ones that are likely (or certain) to be porn and... I think color coding wouldn't actually work so well, not with that many different things I want to track.
Maybe a spreadsheet?
And most of these just get more complicated the deeper I dig.
Chronicles of Amber
Fiona captures Mandor - 2489. Needs beta reading, editing, and a title.
Episodic Eric and Corwin over the years. Gen most likely.
The one about the Patternghost of Merlin. I don't buy where I thought this one was going, and I have no idea where else it could go.

Sequels to last year's Yuletide story, The Wisdom that You Brought:
Vialle dealing with a returned Brand post-canon - Two chapters done out of a planned three but have no idea how to resolve the story. (1729 and 2250 words)
Vialle while Random was at the Abyss during Patternfall - 1590 words and stuck. Would the Unicorn actually help Vialle murder Oberon? Gerard seems unlikely to, and I'm not sure she can do it solo.
Something House of Sulfur and Mercury related:
Martin POV after Your Past Has a History. Mostly hesitating because I've never written Martin's POV.
Sequel to Nothing False and Possible (1122). Just haven't opened the document in months.
Sequel to At the Edge of Centuries. There should be branching stories here because there are som many characters doing things that won't quite intersect enough to be the same story.
Merlin immediately after the end of The Fruit of Your Intents (1586 words). I originally thought this would be as long as The Fruit of Your intents, but We Are Where We Began covers all of the Merlin/Luke bits pretty thoroughly, so this is hung up on Martin again. But it could be short.
Merlin POV sequel to We Are Where We Began (10544 words). The Merlin in this is a bigger asshole than in the other branches of the AU. I didn't think I could do that. It does make me feel better about Luke still being willing to ditch him in Welcome and Unwelcome both.
Chronicles of Narnia
Sequel to Dark and Deep:
Peter's time in Charn needs massive world building, and I have to decide what Peter is going to learn.
Edmund's POV going forward in Narnia needs a lot of plot/characterization decisions for Edmund. And how on earth do I represent the name that Jadis's Wolves have given Lucy? I don't think I can write around it entirely.
DCU related stuff
Sequel/prequel to The Very Self of the Storm (Smallville with some JL/JLU and comics components). I think I need to make this somehow tie into a greater DC backstory, but my knowledge of DC is the animated stuff, a little Smallville, and cultural osmosis. I also don't want to use the obvious canonical villain because he seems like an unimaginative option.
Original stuff
An original fic based on a Nonconathon 2017 prompt - 1800 words, and I'm kind of not interested in the noncon any more. I just want to write the politics and history, so... um.
Sequels for any of the three original fics I wrote for the Nonconathon (547 for No Minor Enemy; 150 for A Fist of Darkness) or for the one I wrote for Captive Audience.
The Captive Audiences one would likely be porn with a side of world building and character development.
The other three are likely to be more focused on character and world building and may or may not have porn. Yes, even that one.
Rurouni Kenshin
When Heroes Fall stories:
Hiko and Saitoh talking after it becomes clear that Kenshin's not dead. I'm not so sure about writing Hiko or Saitoh as POV characters. Monologues for Saitoh, I can do, because he spins everything, but. Maybe them talking told from Tokio's POV? I think she has more sense than either of them.
More Megumi. I know I can write Megumi, but writing her probably requires skipping forward a long way in time which means deciding what happened to everybody else.
Sky High
Will's POV to finish out All the Faces We Were. Possibly the easiest thing on the list because I'm still in the headspace. - 50 words
Star Wars
Vader captures Luke and Obi-Wan. Several different ways to go with this, depending on point in the timeline. Baby Luke, child Luke, a New Hope early, a New Hope after Alderaan. Started a New Hope early (69 words) but want to write all of them. So.
Sequel to Seeking a Window Out. Probably mostly introverted Han angst, but I'd have to figure out how Jedi would work with him in Vader's hands - 231 words
Weiss Kreuz
Gathered from the Gales - Needs thorough editing but is done in rough draft. 10K+ words.
Occlusion prequel. Actual story with plot, just requires working out a magic system. No biggie. - 277 words
More porn is always an easy option for this fandom. Well, until it grows plot and backstory and character development and... Um. Maybe not?
Shatter Like a Cry - consensual Weiss/Schuldig in the same universe as Rituals and Observances. Hung up on character issues that need to be resolved in the story before I can write porn. Bah. See above. (4117 words)
