Fic Announcement
Dec. 2nd, 2017 08:27 pmI posted two fics yesterday, one for Zelazny's Chronicles of Amber and one for Weiss Kreuz.
Title: The Rock Beneath the Water
Fandom: Chronicles of Amber - Roger Zelazny
Rating: M
Characters: Fiona and Mandor with an established relationship that's not entirely relevant.
Tags: Betrayal, Captivity, Starvation, Psychological torture, Retaliation/Revenge, Not a Romance, Surrender, Ambiguous/open ending
Notes: Written for a prompt-- 'Fiona captures Mandor' --from Captive Audience 2017 but doesn't quite get to either Stockholm Syndrome or Lima Syndrome (one or the other was required for the exchange).
Post-Merlin books. Not related to my other Amber fics.
Beware hints of rape in both Fiona's assumptions about what happened to Corwin and in the possibilities for what she might later do with Mandor. Fiona's a bit oblique about Corwin, and the stuff about Mandor's future is open to interpretation, but... I'd rather give you all a heads up.
Summary: Fiona closed her eyes for a moment. I'm glad he can't see me. "At one point," she told Mandor, "I'd have enjoyed that. Sadly for you, my family loyalty comes first."
His eyes widened almost imperceptibly. "Family loyalty is laudable."
Ah. He knows now. That's a little easier. She allowed herself an audible sigh. "You will likely survive. Corwin did, after all."
The Rock Beneath the Water on AO3.

The story I posted on the last day of the recent
weissvsaiyuki battle is now edited and posted on AO3. I think Nagi's emotional arc is clearer now.
Title: Gathered from the Gales
Fandom: Weiss Kreuz
Rating: E
Pairings: Pre-existing Crawford/Schuldig, Nagi/Schuldig/Crawford, references to Nagi/Tot and Nagi/Mamoru, implied Nagi/others
Length: 10866 words
Tags: Consensual BDSM, Post-Gluhen, Dom Nagi, Under-negotiated, Past Rape/Non-con, Use of fictional drugs, Renegotiation, Angst, Conflicted Feelings, Past Abuse, Grooming
Notes: Crawford and Schuldig were both abused by the elders and by other people with authority over them. There're some lingering effects from that. That's not why they're kinky, but it affects how they express kinkiness and what they expect/assume.
Summary: Crawford had said 'mutually beneficial' and 'stress relief' and 'no strings' when he suggested it, so Nagi expected a single night of play. Nagi should have remembered that Crawford lies and does what he needs to in order to achieve the future he wants. Or the future he needs.

Date: 2017-12-04 10:42 pm (UTC)I like the Corwin books better, but I'm more likely to write for the Merlin books because there are more bits that make me itch, psychologically speaking, to force them to make sense. That seems to be the factor that makes me most likely to produce fic (unprompted at least) for a canon and also the factor that most confuses people who choose what to write based on love for the canon as a thing that works without falling apart.
