Fandom: Chronicles of Amber - Roger Zelazny
Rating: T
Length: AO3 isn't giving me a word count. There are words there, though. Somewhere between 2.5K and 3K words.
Characters: Random, Gerard, Eric, background Random/Vialle but Vialle does not appear
Tags: Captivity, Intrigue, Siblings, Suicide Attempt, Dysfunctional Family, Good Intentions, Almost Fluffy
Notes: In a series with The Wisdom That You Brought. Not 100% consistent with details there but relying on the idea that Vialle is Oberon's daughter of whom he is ignorant and that she's married to Random anyway.
The rating is mainly for things implied. I'm considering Random's attack on Eric after his coronation to be arguably suicidal simply because I can't think what else he thought would happen, and in this set of fics, at least, Random/Vialle is sibling incest. Random and Eric talk around the latter without ever coming out and saying it.
Written, well after the due date, for a prompt left for Captive Audience 2017.
Summary: Random must have had some sort of plan when he attacked Eric. Apparently, it wasn't one he'd really thought through.
