Scott and I got through a library DVD last night. I spent a good chunk of the time wanting very much to leave and to do anything at all other than sit and watch. This applies any time I try to watch something, DVD, streaming, regular TV. Even when it's really, really good, I keep looking for the exits.

And most of it isn't actually really, really good.

It doesn't help that Cordelia has crowded me out of my space in the living room. I started it by serving her breakfast on my little computer table by the couch. That meant taking my laptop to the bedroom every night and not bringing it back out until after she left for school. Cordelia started leaving stuff on the table. Then she started using it for her markers while she colored. I can clear that stuff away in order to work, but only when she's not actively using the table.

I'm seriously thinking that we need to get a second table so that she has one and I have one. Scott will balk, but I'm not going to sit out there regularly when I have to hold my laptop with my hands and constantly risk having it slide to the floor if I reach for a tissue. Scott's preference would be a coffee table, but I don't think we could find one that's the right height. I also don't think we could find one that I could move easily if I need to. The current laptop table is lightweight enough that I can pick it up even with the laptop on it and carry it to the dining room or to our bedroom. I need to do that every time the cleaning lady comes.

Scott and Cordelia have gone off to spend the day playing board games with aunts, uncles, and cousins. I'm enjoying having some time to myself.

Scott's sister decided that Cordelia needs aromatherapy and gave her a diffuser and some essential oils for Christmas. Cordelia used something at bedtime on Christmas that really irritated my sinuses. The c-PAP was the only thing that let me sleep that night. It filtered things enough. I've asked Cordelia what she used, and she says she doesn't know. I've asked to look at what's in the set, and she's not wanted to deal with it. I went into her room the other day while she was out to see if I could find it, but I couldn't.

Scott's sister talked to me about aromatherapy for Cordelia before, and I vetoed it on the grounds that I'm allergic to pretty much everything she thought would help, so I'm annoyed that she gave this to Cordelia anyway.
