I still have the headache. It kept me up pretty late last night until I reached the point of exhaustion that would let me sleep through it. I got eight hours of fairly solid sleep. I know my dreams were vivid, but I can't remember details. At any rate, I started this morning with Sudafed and Mucinex and am now slamming down a lot of water. (I didn't try Mucinex yesterday because of timing. I can't sleep when I'm drinking the amounts of water it requires.) I used a sinus rinse last night because sometimes that helps with sinus issues.
I don't see any way that this isn't sinus related. My left cheekbone feels like something's trying to burst out. My left ear aches just a little, and the hinge of my jaw on that side is just a bit unhappy. Sometime the left side of my forehead hurts, and sometimes it doesn't.
When my parents came to town yesterday, we all went to Saica for lunch. I had trouble afterwards. I think my digestive system doesn't like what they fry their tempura in. I don't have the same problem with Totoro's tempura. My stepfather really enjoyed the meal. My mother was less impressed because she failed to register that the big red bottle the server had put next to her bowl was hot sauce. She assumed ketchup and spent most of her meal feeling disappointed by the lack of spice/heat.
I made a list of thrift shops and sent the three of them off to spend a couple of hours on that. My mother and stepfather mostly looked at furniture while Cordelia mostly looked at clothing, so they were shopping together without impinging on each other's space too much.
Let's see... I have two phone calls to make in order to schedule appointments. I need to write and mail a check (unless Scott has already). I need to get myself some lunch and to prepare for a guest in an hour and the cleaning lady in two.
Ideally, I'd like to do some Fandom Stocking writing today, but I don't know if that will happen. I wish I had some way to check whether all of the stockings listed as needy in fandoms I could write still are. I'm torn between trying the rarest of them first and trying the ones I think will be easiest first. I suspect I'll end up going in the latter direction because it means potentially managing more stories.
I had a thought the other day that someone (not me!) ought to write a crossover between Sapphire and Steel and the musical Brigadoon. I suppose either the movie or the stage play of the latter would work since the time fuckery is the same in both.
