the_rckSchool has been cancelled for today due to freezing rain on top of ice on the roads. We had a thaw yesterday, and then the temperature dropped way down over night. Cordelia and I were both already up when the call came at about 5:50. Usually, they call it earlier than that, so I think they must have been unsure about whether not to cancel.
Scott will no longer answer calls from unidentified numbers, so he didn't get the cancellation notice. He also doesn't get appointment reminders from the university health system. In both cases, the calls come from a centralized number that is not in his phone because it's not a line he has ever called (I'm not sure that a person could call either number and get anywhere at all). I should make him add those numbers to his contacts on his phone because it might matter that he answer those calls at some point.
At any rate, I'd already been awake for an hour when the school called. I'd eaten and had my coffee. I'm dubious about my chances of falling asleep again. Maybe I can get through some library books or some DVDs or something. I don't know. For the moment, I'm going through my backlog of unread blog posts. I forgot to look at them at all yesterday, so there're a lot stacked up.
Cordelia has gone back to bed, though, and I can hear the rain/sleet hitting the roof and siding. Life 360 shows Scott safely at work. So there's that.

Call plumber
Call PT
Grocery list
Dishes
Library books
Finding a beta for the Star Wars story
Possibly writing something
Feedly backlog
