the_rckGetting out of bed this morning was hard, but I'm feeling better right at the moment than I generally do at this point in the morning (when I've been up for six hours). I haven't used the heating pad yet today and am hoping I won't need to for a while (and that I'll notice if I do need to).
I don't think I got more than about six hours of sleep last night, and I am tired. It's just that tired isn't the main component of me feeling bad the last few months. It doesn't help, of course, but it's not the big problem.
The first plumber I called this morning, the one recommended by the guy I tried on Friday (who is almost everyone's first choice plumber), had a recorded message saying that, due to frozen/burst pipes, they don't have room in their schedule for anyone who's not already a customer with an account.
So I went to the database for the local parenting Yahoo list and dug through the plumbers there. I made a full list first because I knew that, if I called one more person/company and it didn't work, I'd not be able to look up another. As it happens, my first choice from the list can fit us in this afternoon as long as the roads don't get too bad.
Today's goal is to finish a treat for an exchange without having it go over 5K. It's very near to going over my old estimate of 3K words, so I don't know where it will go.
