Feb. 6th, 2018 03:45 pmI kept waking up last night with my head off the side of the bed. The bedside table has a ridge, and that digging into my head woke me. I'd move back onto the mattress. Then a little bit later, I'd wake again in the same position. My sleeping body obviously really wanted to get my head off the side of the bed.
At the moment, I'm trying to invent names for my Worldbuilding Exchange story because the canon is SF/fantasy and I'll be using OCs. (Saying this doesn't give much away because I pretty much only offer and write SF/fantasy canons for exchanges. The exceptions tend to be border cases like The Pretender, Weiss Kreuz, and Rurouni Kenshin. The Secret Garden story I wrote doesn't count because it's a crossover with Narnia. That leaves one non-fantastical canon I've ever written, and... I'm not sure sure that ancient history RPF actually counts.) I may end up just numbering the characters so that I can start writing because I'm hating the sound/rhythm of every name I invent. Waiting for inspiration in that direction doesn't seem like a good time investment.
The blood pressure thingy arrived yesterday. I'm still trying to work out if I'm using it right, and I'm hoping that, at one of my appointments next week, I'll be able to persuade someone to check the calibration. The using it right part is hard because I'm putting the cuff on one handed and because the list of dos and don'ts is pretty long. I'm just aiming for the feasible and figuring that will be good enough. I can't manage an intersection of feet on the floor, back supported, arm supported, no recent exertion, empty bladder, and an outlet to plug the machine into.
