Mar. 1st, 2018 08:06 amToday started off badly. I dropped one of the coffee makers that Scott has picked up, and it shattered. It was half full of cold coffee (it was a cold brewing set up). My hands just aren't working quite right, and grabbing handles is hard, so I had just pressed it between my hands. It wasn't heavy, but it was slipperier than I expected.
What with one thing and another, there are a bunch of chores that must be done but that I ought not do. Scott and Cordelia were both exceedingly reluctant to do anything at all last night. I got Scott to wash a load of laundry, but he didn't put it into the dryer. I've done a few things since Cordelia left for the day, and I'll manage the rest somehow, but I think my hands and elbow and so on will be very, very unhappy with me about it. All of it, sadly, needs to be accomplished before 2 p.m. when the cleaning lady comes. Cordelia gets home around 2:50, and Scott is later still.
Cordelia had a half day yesterday, so she and her friends from her old school got together downtown. I think they spent about four hours together. Next week will be full of half days for her because of trimester exams, but her friends' schools all do semesters instead, so they'll have full days.
We're not sure how long we'll have to wait to hear more about the job interview process for Scott. Last time, I think they did a second round of interviews with a subset of the folks from the first round, but it's been a while, so I don't actually remember.
I've tried and given up on several library DVDs this week. I still have more to get through. One's playing now. The others are TV season sets. One, I know I want to watch through, but I've got ten more days on it. The other, I'm in the middle of the first episode of the first season and haven't made up my mind yet. That's thirteen episodes and is due Sunday. It's probably renewable, but I feel like I should at least be able to get one episode completed by then.
