Fandom: Star Wars Original Trilogy
Rating: T
Length: 2160 words
Characters/Pairings: Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader
Tags: Alternate Universe - Canon Divergence, Family, Emotional Manipulation, Intrigue, Captivity
Notes: Sequel to "A Mouthful of Air." I'm calling the series Nothing Until I Happen. I've got the third story done but expect to take a break from the series after that.
Unless it bites me again the way that Sky High series kept doing.
This has all the warnings for Darth Vader being obsessive and pretty much without any moral/ethical limits on what he'll do, but-- no matter what Vader thinks-- I think this series is pretty unlikely to end up with Luke/Leia. If it does happen, it won't be in this situation.
Summary:
Luke had luxurious accommodations on Vader’s ship. The suite had apparently once belonged to a high official. Luke had overheard enough to know that the man had somehow recently offended Vader and that so much as saying his name might be dangerous. Luke had decided not to pursue the subject. Knowing that Vader would kill wasn’t new information, and none of the people he could overhear actually knew why.
Asking the one person who definitely knew seemed unwise.
Luke really hoped it wasn’t just so that Luke could have a nicer prison than what they’d likely given Old Ben.

Title: Beyond the Face of Fear
Fandom: Star Wars Original Trilogy
Rating: T
Length: 2043 words
Characters/Pairings: Leia Organa, Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker
Tags: Alternate Universe - Canon Divergence, Threats of Violence, Intrigue, Captivity
Notes: Third in Nothing Until I Happen series.
Still not going for Luke/Leia. This one would make a reasonable entry point for the series because Leia's the POV character and doesn't know any of the things established in the first two stories.
Usual warnings for Vader being his canonical self, just with shifted allegiances.
Summary:
Only lifelong practice let Leia keep from gaping at him. Even that didn’t stop her from pulling back and flattening herself against the wall. Part of her mind noted that as evidence of just how narrow the bench she’d been sleeping on was. All the rest of her was grappling with Vader’s words which couldn’t possibly mean what they very clearly did.
Finally, she settled on the point she could deal with-- Darth Vader’s priorities had diverged from the Emperor’s. There had to be a way to use it.
If she lived long enough to find it.
She didn’t pause between that realization and nodding. “If that’s what it takes,” she said. She wondered why she’d never heard of Vader having family and hoped that the monster’s son wouldn’t be equally monstrous.

Title: Hide Nothing to Desire
Fandom: Chronicles of Amber - Roger Zelazny
Rating: E
Length: 22113 words (five chapters)
Characters/Pairings: Almost entirely Martin/Merlin. Background Merlin/Luke, mentions of Merlin/OCs, and Martin/OCs.
Tags: PWP, BDSM, established relationship, rape roleplay, prisoner role play, shapeshifting, voyuerism, omorashi, burnplay, consensual non-consent, consensual but not safe or sane, male lactation, body modification, sex toys.
Notes: 12th work in House of Sulfur and Mercury series on AO3.
There are references to both Merlin and Martin killing and/or raping people. Merlin's relationship with Luke is 99.9% offscreen but is still rape. There is a scene where Martin and Merlin set up a Shadow of Martin to be gang raped so that they can watch and have sex while it's going on.
There are pretty definitely things in here that need to be tagged or warned for but that I'm not thinking of here.
The last chapter includes a long discussion of what Merlin having responsibilities and kids and such means for the relationship.
Summary:
"You can treat it as a thought experiment,” I told Merlin. “Given certain imaginary circumstances, what would happen? What would you do? How would I respond?”
He looked at me over the top of his bottle of beer. For a moment, he seemed about to ask me what the hell I was talking about, but then he nodded. “I couldn’t have killed you. Anyone else-- even my father-- I could.” His eyes narrowed. “No one else in the family realizes how fucking dangerous you are.”
I laughed and raised my own bottle slightly. “Much safer that way.” I waved my free hand. “We don’t have to work out what to do with the rest of the family. You’ve dealt with them somehow and don’t have to worry about what they’re doing.” We both knew that that part was the purest fantasy, and I hoped that thinking about it would underline the fact that I was proposing a game.
He smiled. “I could, you know. Now, at least.”
“Do you want to?” I was very nearly certain that he didn’t, but part of me froze.
He shook his head. “You just have to know that we’re playing with fire. You trust me more than I do.”
