Mar. 27th, 2018 08:33 amI started today with a headache. I took an Amerge, and that seems to have killed it. Hopefully, it won't be back until late today or, you know, never.
I tried to sleep in a little past when Scott got up this morning, but he had an alarm set on his phone that went off when he had just started showering. He doesn't always put his phone in the same place, so trying to locate it and turn it off was something I knew would wake me. I just lay there and felt cranky about it. It's a kind of musical, semi-pleasant alarm, but it's designed so that you can't possibly sleep through it.
Today, I'm going to see about washing the things that will dry quickly first. There are two things that are terrible about getting dry, Cordelia's comforter and Scott's heavy blanket. I'm also trying to listen to the washer so that I catch it when things unbalance. It's in the basement, and if I have music playing or anything on the TV, I can't hear it. It unbalanced on two of the six loads yesterday.
Cordelia is having two friends over to hang out this afternoon. I don't know how late they'll be staying, but I suspect it will involve ordering pizza. One of the two girls is vegan and used to limit herself to breadsticks (ordered with no butter, no parmesan) but has realized that a pizza without cheese but with sauce and mushrooms works.
We still haven't gotten an invitation for Easter dinner, so I'm assuming that we really will be staying home and relaxing. Maybe we can find some friends who'd like to visit and play games or something. I suppose I should think about cooking so that we have an actual dinner of some sort instead of the three of us scavenging from the fridge, but Scott's trying to stick to things that are 90% veggies (which will make me sick), and I need to be done eating by 6 p.m., and Cordelia is unpredictable in terms of what she'll eat and what she turns up her nose at.
I've got 2100 words toward my SmutSwap assignment and zero signs that there will ever actually be smut. This one wants to be plausible which requires being long.
I'm considering taking the bus out to Kroger later today. It probably won't happen because leaving the house is hard (also, it's raining), but there are some things I thought we had that we don't. I'd send Cordelia, but I don't have any cash but the cup of change that we keep near the dryer. That's mostly pennies.
Scott can pick things up on his way home from work, but he had to stop yesterday. I'd rather not ask him to do it today, too. Not when it's not something essential.
Sounds like the first load of laundry is done washing.

Date: 2018-03-27 06:56 pm (UTC)He's participating in some sort of online coaching thing for diabetes prevention that his doctor referred him to. Our health insurance wants people doing this program or one like it because it's more cost effective than trying to treat type 2 diabetes. I'm pretty sure, though, that the program cherry picks people and avoids taking on people like me who have complicating conditions. (I say this because I have more risk factors than he does and have never had the insurance people suggest that they'd pay for me to participate in a program like that.)
