Apr. 13th, 2018 11:04 amI am way, way behind on answering emails and comments, to the point that I've still got things from last summer to answer. Some of them, I'm just never going to because I'm pretty sure that whoever commented/emailed has forgotten the conversation entirely.
I've done less writing the last few days because of not knowing when Cordelia would need me, so I've mostly been cat waxing in various ways. One of those has been me trying to assign titles to the various bits and pieces of the Sky High behemoth. That's mostly done. I've just got one bit with two title options, neither of which are perfect, and both of which work well enough. Those are:
"Intent on Its Angles"
"Air Beneath My Footstep"
Opinions? I don't really expect that anybody's going to read or not read these based on title, but this set of chapters centers on a theme of people trying to do things, out of desperation, that they've been told won't work and finding new approaches. There's a certain amount of changing angle and a lot of stepping into the dangerous unknown. All of the characters end up altered in ways that they didn't expect and aren't entirely happy about.
This one has a more hopeful ending than the other stories in the series (which diverge after chapter 3 of this one). Those two are definitely named "Would Feed on Ashes" and "Drilled Through Empty Spaces." The series as a whole is "Not Ready to Swallow Oblivion."
