Wednesday was a slow day. Cordelia kept herself amused all day. She was a bit down over the plans being canceled, but she didn't complain. In the evening,
cherydactyl and her family came over. They brought dinner, and after that we played a long game of Apples to Apples Disney. We played until all the red cards were gone. Then Scott and the other adults played some sort of brief game while the younger girls played. I showed the older girl some of my anime. She's been watching stuff online. I loaned her Haibane Renmei (She checked around online to see which things I had she could find elsewhere and which she couldn't). I hope she likes it.
Thursday,
cherydactyl's younger daughter came over to spend the night. The girls spent a good bit of time over at the school, playing on the playground. I still worry about Cordelia crossing that street at certain times of day, but it's time that I let her do it.
We had pizza for dinner. Our guest is a picky eater and will only eat certain foods. Scott and I weren't certain she'd eat the chicken noodle stew that was our other option, so we went with pizza. While we ate, we watched The Muppets which our guest had never seen. The girls were in bed with the lights out by about 9:30.
The girls actually slept in Friday morning. I was expecting the noise of them playing to wake me about 7:00, but when I got up about 8:45, they were still quiet in bed. They found themselves breakfast and went outside as soon as they could manage. It was still pretty cold, though, about 41 degrees. Cordelia took her heavy gloves. They were in and out all day. I don't think the temperature ever hit 50.
Scott was really worn out when he got home. He had been pulling carts all day. He didn't do his PT. I didn't have the heart to urge him to do it. He was having trouble just standing up. Of course, that's probably when he needs the PT exercises the most. I wish they'd started him slowly with just a couple of exercises, but they threw him in the deep end with about a dozen different exercises.
Scott's working today, unfortunately. Cordelia was disappointed. She really likes spending time with him. I was disappointed because it means tomorrow's going to be packed with stuff that Must Be Done. Monday's going to be a bad day. Scott's going to be run off his feet, trying to get things done. He has to pick up the t-shirts for his soccer team and then run a practice. He has to go in to work early on Tuesday, so he'll be going to bed pretty much as soon as practice is over. I hope he has time to eat dinner and shower.
