Scott's managed to wedge his exercise bike into the corner next to our couch. It's diagonal in the space, so it's not easier for me to climb on. I'd even call it a little more difficult because I have to eel around the dratted thing and the couch to get to where I can attempt to climb on. I can manage about six minutes at a time. I need to learn to readjust the seat. Scott and I are are a foot apart in height, so we need the seat in different places. I don't think it looks particularly hard, but I won't know until I do it a time or three.
The waste basket still fits back there, too. It's a little hard to get to, but it's possible to use it. The shredder is floating around the living room with no home yet. I think Scott's inclined to leave it that way, but I'd rather not. It's in my way when I do Sit and Be Fit. I have to put it on the loveseat in order to clear the space I need.
Cordelia was disappointed by Sunday because nothing she defined as fun happened. I did laundry, and we went to the library. Scott wants to try to get the laundry done earlier in the day, but to do that, he has to shower earlier and faster. Most Sundays, he doesn't get around to showering until eleven or even noon. He gets up late and then makes pancakes before showering. Usually, he listens to Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me, too.
Monday evening, Scott and Cordelia had their first soccer practice. Scott was counting on help from Cordelia's gym teacher (all the students adore him), but the gym teacher broke his leg over spring break. There is another father who's willing to help, but he doesn't know much about soccer drills. Scott and Cordelia went half an hour earlier in order to give the other father time to learn some of the drills.
There wasn't a lot of shelving to do at the school library today. I was surprised. Usually, there's quite a bit. I was done by five after three, and that's unusual. Most of the kids didn't bother checking out books. They were working on the computers doing a project that the librarian wanted them to finish today. I'm not sure how many of them actually did.
I was hoping that the PTO fundraiser they scheduled last month would actually happen. Last month, they did a fundraiser with Olga's so that a percentage of each meal purchased with the appropriate coupon would get donated to the PTO. At the time, they said they were scheduling one a month and specified today for April (I forget when in May they said). No reminders have come home about it, and they'd have had to give us the coupon if they were actually doing the fundraiser tonight. I can't justify going out if it's not for the fundraiser because there's definitely another fundraiser tomorrow, buying pizza and giving a percentage to the PTO. ::grumbles:: I don't want pizza.
I've been looking at the weather predictions for the coming weekend. I know they're not dreadfully reliable this far out, but I'm not liking the look of them. We have two games, one Saturday morning and one Sunday afternoon, and they're predicting that it will get cold again. I don't like the idea of sitting outside for an hour plus when it's in the 40s and windy.
