the_rckThe teacher didn't show up for Cordelia's class last night. We have no idea how the school will make that up. They have to because of state law requiring 24 hours of class before the kids can get permits to drive with their parents. I don't think that their normal fix for single students missing a class will work because that's having the student attend the equivalent class in another session and then taking the test with the students from that section.
It's not so much a workable thing for an entire class to do that since it doubles the size of the space needed for that session, and the school needs to find a solution because the parents are paying $399 per student for the end result of testing for the permit. If none of the kids in that class get that, it will hurt the school's chances of getting other students.
I haven't watched most of my library DVDs this week. I don't know if I'll get any of them done before Sunday. Most of them can be renewed, so I likely will. My main hesitation is that I've got four more waiting for pick up.
