Jul. 1st, 2018 09:08 amMy laptop finished backing up after I went to bed last night. Yesterday was kind of generally crappy and ended with a migraine. I'm not sure how much of that was due to the disruption of my routine and how much was other things.
I kept running into things I wanted to work on yesterday, but all of them required my laptop being available.
The physical therapist says that the problem with my left shoulder is a rib pulled out of place by muscle tension. The top-most rib is pressing against my collarbone off and on. She added some extra appointments in case I need them and said that she'll ask my primary care doctor about a referral to an OT for advice on full body movement and functionality in the face of chronic pain. I think my doctor will go for that. It will be over by Briarwood which is kind of beyond inconvenient, but this is something I need, and there's apparently one person who does this.
The exercise I'm doing for the rib displacement is relatively simple, but it requires using something to put pressure on my shoulder while I tilt my head. I have a curved thing for pressure point release that works but leaves me sore. The PT recommended using that. The print out suggests using a towel, but that doesn't work nearly as well.
Cordelia and I met downtown and went to Totoro for lunch. I managed to make her laugh a couple of times, so I think she actually enjoyed the meal. She also found her first drive with an instructor much less terrible than she'd expected it to be.
I was utterly exhausted by the time we got home because it was hot outside. I still can't deal with heat, and the walking around outside made my biopsy site a little more cranky than it had been. I had hoped to do the grocery shopping Friday night, but I was done in. Cordelia patted my arm and told me that nobody but me had thought I could do that after five and a half hours out of the house earlier in the day. I still felt bad about it.
Also, I'd been counting on getting almond milk because we were completely out. Saturday morning's tea was a bit nasty without it.
