the_rckI went into town early and sat in the library for a while. Then I bought bus tokens for Cordelia and took a bus to campus. I was more than half an hour early for my dental appointment, but I didn't feel like I had time/energy to do anything but go there and sit.
I saw a new hygienist. She was careful and didn't actually make the process unnecessarily painful. They did x-rays and used a device I hadn't seen before. It's a plastic thing with two parallel pieces, one to hold the film inside the patient's mouth and another that's a big ring that ends up a bit away from the patient's cheek to show exactly where the film is.
After the appointment, I walked to Totoro and met Cordelia there. She needed to be downtown later in the afternoon anyway, so that worked out well for us. During the walk to Totoro, I did some Ingress missions. I did more after the meal while I was heading for Main St. I think I really overdid, and I did get a little sunburned, but I did fifteen missions. None of them took more than about ten minutes, and few of them required walking more than two blocks.
I ended up at my second appointment early because I wanted to sit down somewhere quiet and because I wanted their bathroom.
After the appointment, I walked three blocks to the library and got my holds. Scott picked me up because it was long enough after 5:00 for him to be most of the way home by then.
