I've got my Not Prime Time assignment. Unfortunately, I can't start writing until I review canon, and I can't review canon until Monday because Cordelia is dead set against watching it. I think she'd enjoy it, but she refuses to try. Of course, if I started watching it with her, I'd be on her schedule. Maybe waiting for Monday isn't such a big deal.
Last night, Scott and Cordelia tried to make rice crispy treats. Unfortunately, the marshmallows carmelized rather than melted. We ended up making smores with the resulting mess. The marshmallows were decidedly chewy, even a bit crunchy. Our theory is that the marshmallows were too old. They were definitely stale and hard.
Cordelia has started doing yoga in the living room. She's taking a yoga class after school on Tuesdays, and that's gotten her interested. Years ago,
cherydactyl gave us a set of cards with yoga exercises on them. I think they're called Yoga Pretzels. At any rate, Cordelia is using those cards to tell her what to do.
This year, the Science Olympiad people actually told the head coaches how each team did in each event. In previous years, we had no idea of the standings beyond the top five teams. Cordelia's Disease Detectives team placed sixth out of twenty-six. Cordelia's Circuit Wizardry team placed sixteenth out of I'm not sure how many (This isn't a big surprise. The circuit they built wasn't working right, and they took it apart to try to figure it out. As soon as they had it all the way apart, time was called, so they got no points for the circuit).
