the_rckI got very little done over the weekend. I'm not sure where the time went.
It looks like I'll be on my own for school events this month. I have a meeting at the school tomorrow morning. Next week, Tuesday is choir registration at 4:30. That involved a lot of standing in lines and a lot of money last year. I'm not looking forward to it. Wednesday is 'capsule night' which apparently involves tromping from classroom to classroom and listening to the various teachers explain what they'll be teaching. That runs 6 p.m. to 8:30, so Scott will be able to get me home.
There's a choir fundraiser on the 15th of October. I need to find out more about the schedule for that. It's called 'Music and a Meal.' My assumption is that it will be a pancake supper again and that Scott and I will need to bring our own food. I also need to remember to take earplugs. Marching bands should never, ever play in auditoriums. I found their performance last year sufficiently physically painful that I can't offer any opinion as to how well they played.
Parent-teacher conferences are on the 18th of October. They run 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. I'm going to have to get out there myself because the lines get horribly long later in the evening. By the time Scott can get there, even if he leaves work early, we'd have to wait 40 minutes for, say, the math teacher. Math and social studies tend to have the long lines and English the shortest. The choir teacher only sometimes bothers to attend.
