I've written slightly more than 3000 words so far this month. September's grand total for word count was 21707. My year to date count is 263641 which boggles me but also makes me think that, barring utter disaster, I'm likely to it 300K words by the New Year. It seems impossible that I've written this much fiction in the last nine months.
I'm behind on my prompt-a-day goal with three prompts (including today's) that I haven't touched at all. The prompts for days 3 and 4 turned into actual stories that I wanted to finish and polish and post, so I decided to give that priority. I wrote about half of the Calvin and Hobbes story during the write-in yesterday when I ought to have been working on either the day 5 prompt or the day 6 prompt.
Day 5 is an old Yuletide prompt for a music video. Day 6 is for Amber. Day 7 is for Naruto. I'll probably attack the Amber prompt first as it's likely to be the fastest to write. My goal is to do 'some work' on these rather than to finish a fic for each, but who knows what will happen? Three out of four of the prompts I've worked on turned into complete stories.
After we deal with required non-writing stuff today, however, I'm going to focus first on beta reading as I've got two in progress that I haven't touched in days. I want to put in at least an hour on each today.
We still haven't watched this week's episode of The Good Place. Our houseguest was here and wanting to be social while it was on, and we haven't gotten back to it.
No headache this morning, but I think I might be coming down with a cold. I've been sneezing a lot, and my nose is stuffy. Cordelia is either still sick with the cold she had or has come down with something else. I'd like to go back to bed now, but we've got about an hour before we need to leave for lunch with Scott's sister and her family.
