The biopsy has been done. The resulting wound hurts, and I'll be doing sitz baths for at least a week. Scott is out at an appointment. I'm hoping he'll be back soon. He's got a car repair appointment at 2 p.m., and I'd like to have lunch out before he leaves. If he sees the clinician on time, we should have more than enough time.
I have dates wrapped in turkey bacon in the oven right now. I basted them with melted butter and am hoping that will balance the vastly lower level of fat in the turkey bacon. I used a different kind of dates than usual because that was what was available when Scott did the shopping.
The dates should be out of the oven in time that I can run the dishwasher while Scott and I get lunch. If we don't go for lunch, maybe I'll make Scott some chex mix. His parents have informed us all that they won't be making that this year, so this is a tradition that I'll need to pick up because Scott loves the stuff but has had allergic reactions to stuff he's bought pre-made.
Making chex mix takes slightly more than an hour, but only about 10 minutes of that is active work. The dishwasher takes 1.5 to 2 hours. A batch of bacon wrapped dates takes about half an hour of set up (which I can do sitting) and then an hour(ish) in the oven.
I'm attempting to sort out a bureaucratic tangle. My medical records have gotten intertwined with someone else's. Confidentiality means that nobody can tell me whose information it is, and that's complicating the process because each new department I'm passed to has no idea who the other person is. I had to start with an external pharmacy because that was where the medications that have never been prescribed for me were filled. They said they have a patient with a name similar to mine and called that person's doctor to be sure that the clinic was clear about them not being me. The doctor was clear about it, but the records aren't.
I'm about to try my fourth department (not counting the outside pharmacy). This one will, I hope, be willing to address the problem. The department name is 'Data Integrity' so maybe?
