the_rckWe got a call about 10:30 last night, saying that Scott didn't have to come in early for work after all. Scott speculated, when I woke him up and had him change his alarm, that they were, for some reason, unable to run all of the lines they'd originally planned to. He said something about not having enough trailers for two of the lines and so having nowhere for the bottles to go. This is worrisome with regard to the weekend because those bottles have to be made and shipped as soon as possible.
Scott working this weekend would be bad. There are soccer games both days, and he really wants to be there for the girls. He hopes to take the team picture on Saturday. It's likely that his assistant coach will be there, and he can probably run things if Scott can't be there. Scott will just feel terrible if he misses either game.
I'm currently stalling on writing. I know I need to, and I have a rough idea of what needs to happen. I'm just having trouble buckling down and doing it. I'm determined to crank out at least a hundred words today. If I can do that, I'll have close to three hundred words, 30% of what I absolutely must have.
I just nominated some fandoms for Parallels. The nomination form kept giving me errors, to the point that I submitted a bug report. Things I entered once somehow duplicated themselves, and the form kept deciding to submit itself without my prompting.
I'm not absolutely sure I'm going to do Parallels. I want to, but I also want to do the Narnia Fic Exchange. I can't do both. There's not enough writing time for either exchange to make it feasible. I did NFE last year and Parallels the year before. Both are fun. I may end up deciding to alternate years and do Parallels this year and NFE next year. If Remix were still around, I'd probably do NFE as I'm close to Remix's minimum in Narnia, but I somehow doubt Remix will magically come back next year. There'd have to be someone with the time and energy to make it happen.
