Fic Announcement
Jul. 13th, 2019 10:47 pmTitle: Your Heart Only Works in Pen
Fandom: Chronicles of Amber - Roger Zelazny
Rating: M
Length: 16863 words (5 chapters)
Characters/Pairings: Luke | Rinaldo, Merlin, Jasra, Ghostwheel, Florimel (cameo only). Past Jasra/Merlin, future Luke/Merlin
Tags: References to rape (the Jasra/Merlin bit), babies, rescue, dysfunctional family, hard choices, ambiguous/open ending, alternate universe - canon divergence, slow burn without ever quite getting there
Notes: Part of the House of Sulfur and Mercury series. Possibly doesn't need knowledge of most of the rest of it. Diverges near the end of "They Come Knocking Like Hearts Asking." This is much fluffier than anything else in the series, but that's kind of like saying that pond is less wet than the ocean. I don't know where the boundaries are.
Summary: I thought Merlin was still in the blue cave, so I was really damned astonished to find him in the Keep of the Four Worlds. He was sharing a meal with my mother at the rectangular table in her private dining room. I really didn't want him to be there, so I started at the two of them for a second or two longer than I ought to have. "I'm sorry," I said, focusing my attention entirely on Mother. "I thought you'd be alone."
aka The One in which Luke is Several Decades Older When He Returns to Find Merlin as His Mother's Prisoner. This results in a happier ending for almost everybody.
The story on AO3.
Title: As My Loss Is Grievous
Fandom: Original Work
Rating: E
Length: 3575 words
Characters/Pairings: OMC/OMC (half-brother who deposed him/former king)
Tags: All The Warnings. Rape/non-con, half-sibling incest, revenge, references to past murder and torture, magical mind control, politics, civil war, regime change, references to public use
Notes: Written for the 2019 Nonconathon and given to the collection at large because it wandered a long way from the prompt and ended up more focused on people doing terrible things for political reasons than anything else.
Summary: Lembril turned to look at the guards who’d brought Enril into his newly claimed quarters. “My brother and I have things to discuss.” He gave the final word a vicious twist. None of these men would be surprised by it, not given how long all of them had worked for this moment. Not for the throne. I could hardly be a worse king than he was, but that was never the point. He met each man’s eyes in turn. “I don’t intend to deny any claims of vengeance against those who deserve it. Not claims from my comrades, at least.”

Title: Crossing Every With Only
Fandom: Original Work
Rating: E
Length: 2816 words
Characters/Pairings: OFC/OMC/OMC (newlywed f/m couple/male slave they received as a wedding present)
Tags: Rape/non-con, slavery, soul bond, forced soul bond, forced orgasm, non-consensual body modification, magic, fictional religion & theology, Fair Folk, marriage, threesome - F/M/M
Notes: Written for the Nonconathon 2019. I started writing it last year for someone else, but I think it still fit the request.
Summary: "Oh, Mother, thank you!" Clarris had known that her mother approved of her marriage, but she hadn't realized that her mother approved to the extent of providing such an extravagance as a specially purchased slave for the wedding night. Clarris had expected they'd rent one from the Temple and make do with losing a portion of whatever came of that as part of the Temple fee.
