Notes: I wrote this for Chocolate Box 2020. There are a lot of different versions of this song out there. My favorite is Judy Collins' "Oh Daddy Be Gay," but that elides the violence in Hell, so it's leaves some question as to why they're not willing to have her stay. It's just the one version I've heard that lets her say something.
Summary: Trudi might not be the ideal wife, but she was strong and hardworking. As the Devil carried her to Hell, she considered him and his just another problem to deal with, like a hard winder or a fox after the hens. She had her knife and her faith.
