Rating: T
Length: 2618
Characters/Pairings: Sameen Shaw, Eliot Spencer, Sam Axe, Michael Westen
Tags: When Missions Collide, Spies & Secret Agents, Crossover, Alternate Universe - Canon Divergence, Not Canon Compliant
Notes: Written for Crossworks 2021.
Summary:
The fourth photo was a man Sameen recognized, so she answered Finch's 'unknown number two' with, "Spencer, Eliot. Dangerous. Disappeared from the radar maybe seven years ago."
Reese reacted to Spencer's name. "Never met him, but I know the name. Mercenary." Reese looked directly at Sameen. His lips didn't move, but she knew the words he wanted to say.
Finch wasn't looking at Sameen, so she mouthed the words, "sniper rifle." Finch wouldn't approve, the Machine might or might not, but Spencer was bad news. Sameen might be able to take him, but she'd rather do it from a distance.
Reese's eyes flicked down then back up in a nod that Finch wouldn't notice.

Notes: Written for Robot Rainbow 2022. For this exchange, we had a list of possible titles from which to choose, AI generated nail polish colors if I recall correctly.
Summary:
"It was Deku's plan," Momo told Hitoshi, cutting his protests off at the knees. "We'll send everybody if we can, but Mei has to go, and you have to go." She sighed, and, for a moment, her exhaustion showed. "He left this for you." She pulled out a glass vial with two green hairs in it. "One for now and the other for in the past, just in case the quirk doesn't go back with you. Assuming we can figurer out how to send things with you. He said you could leave a hair for someone for after you're-- In case nothing changes in this timeline. A split timeline ought to let someone else be Eleventh." Her free hand lifted a few millimeters off the table and waved minutely. "He thought that you being Tenth might go back with you even if it's just your mind doing the traveling."
Hitoshi raised his eyebrows. The last point was the only bit of this bullshit reasoning that he was currently willing to touch.
"Because you have a mental quirk," she said. "It might not work, but I don't think we lose anything by trying it."

Characters/Pairings: Corwin, Random
Tags: Sibling Relationship, Reunions, Reference to Canonical Incest, Reference to Canonical Murder, Politics and Intrigue
Notes: Set after the Merlin books but ignoring the short stories.
Summary:
Merlin had known damn all about the things I cared about as far as Amber was concerned. I'm not sure how the boy managed to survive because, as far as politics and intrigue went, he was--
He was curiously indifferent. As if none of it actually affected him or ever could. I had no idea if he was naturally that naive or if Dara and Mandor had deliberately raised him with lacunae in his perceptions.
Or, perhaps, he had simply lied to me about everything. I hoped he had because nothing in his autobiography led me to think he'd survive three days as king of anything, not on his own. Ghostwheel seemed a very insubstantial support in the face of political backbiting.

Tags: Chose not to Use Archive Warnings, Time Loop, Dimension Travel, Anger, Bad Decisions, No Consequences, Implied/Referenced Rape/Non-Con, Extremely Dubious Consent, Dubious Morality, Introspection, Character Study, Ambiguous/Open Ending, References to Angel/Buffy, Sexual Fantasy
Notes: This needs warnings, but I had no idea which ones properly applied, so please take it as a 'Here Be Dragons' type warning. This version of Buffy is in a mental/emotional dark place and doesn't expect to become a better person again. Written for Robot Rainbow 2022.
Summary:
Buffy opens her yes and wonders which flavor of today this one will be. She doesn't like any of them, but some are more disgusting than others, kind of like gravy on a smushed grapefruit. The better ones are usually closer to mint frosting on steak. Buffy can scrape the frosting off is she really wants tot. Hell, it's even usually water soluble with just a little oily residue, and the wet steak is sometimes--
That simile got away from her.
Anyway, the menu is limited and repeats. It's not a rotation because that would be too easy.
Still, she's got a list. It could be a blue-barrette-Willow day or a Mom-dropped-the-last-egg day or... Buffy has a mental list. Paper lists don't transfer, and she can't go properly off-script until she knows which script she'll be shredding. She's not trying to make things better any more.

Summary:
Breaking Grant Ward was going to be a special favor for an organization that no longer-- quite-- existed. Dr Simmons had talked to Maria Hill who had talked to Pepper. All three women were in the observation room with Tony.

Notes: This is a sequel to another story of mine, one with a lot of the same warnings. The series is called Netted in the Shadows. Written for Battleship 2022.
Summary:
Crawford might join Schuldig when Yohji was on the floor, but he only watched when Schuldig had Yohji trapped on the couch. Crawford kept up conversation with Schuldig in a language Yohji didn't know but thought might be French. Crawford also laughed when Yohji squirmed.
Crawford always sounded amused in the way a normal person might be by a clever pet. Yohji understood that that was better than the way Crawford had laughed before. That had been an arsonist watching a city burn; that had been a promise of violence, vivisection, and death.
Yohji was Schuldig's pet much more than Crawford's, but Crawford was the one making sure that Yohji didn't die.

"Of course." El leaned over and kissed Peter's cheek. "He'll try to run, too, until he figures out that we can always reel him back in."

Date: 2022-10-01 06:31 pm (UTC)The timeline between The Silver Chair and The Last Battle is kind of vague, but I thought that her visiting the Pevensies during the gap could work. I also thought that Peter was the Pevensie she was least likely to have interacted with much because he's so much older. This could also fit in an everybody-lives-nobody-dies AU, but it doesn't require that.
