Get a thermos. Cold soccer practices and games require warm beverages.
Get a hat for Cordelia. Never mind that you saw last year's hat recently. Cordelia needs one today, and we don't have one.
There are multiple causes for an itchy scalp. Try aggressive combing first. Your head may just be trying to shed. (I've pulled enough hair off my head in the last three days to stuff a small pillow. Amazingly, it makes no visible difference to the thickness of my hair.)
Using the heating pad really, really does help. Do it. Do it several times a day if possible. Also, walking around helps. The thing that doesn't help is sitting on the couch. Find some place else to sit. Really. (I have a lurking terror that my back and hip problems this year have been provoked by the couch we bought last December. We're stuck with it for several years. We can't afford to replace it even if I end up unable to use it.)
Find a way to use your laptop while standing up. Clearing a kitchen counter isn't that hard, and it's a lot less boring than standing in the kitchen looking longingly at all the things you could do if you were sitting down, even if you are getting more cooking done this way.
