Last night, Cordelia slept in the basement. She came up for hugs twice, but she made it through the entire night. She cried more than a little when we were setting up. She said she was afraid that she'd need hugs and we'd be asleep. I pointed out that that was equally likely when she sleeps in her own room, but that didn't help. I suspect that there's more going on than that, but she won't talk to me about it.

I'm going to suggest that she sleep down there again tonight. The second night should be easier, right?

Hey, that's real progress! I hope she opens up to you at some point about what her fears are, but this is still a great development. :)
