I'm going to post a lot of little fragments over the next day or three, things that I've wanted to write up but that I've been too distracted to do properly. Most of them are for my future reference as much as they're things I want to share.

The board of Delia's pre-school gave me an Espresso Royale gift card as a thank you for the work I've done on the library. I'm very pleased by the recognition but also feel a little odd because I keep thinking of all the things I've meant to do with the library and haven't. They'd all be extras, but they'd be useful extras.

I've shown our teacher how to use BookMooch. We plan to sit down at least once more so that we can go through the books I've thrown onto the save-for-later list and decide which are worth spending points on.

We'll be spending points as soon as I meet with the teacher again (with luck, some time next week, after we get back from break). Scott took Delia to see a local production of Beauty and the Beast a couple of weeks ago. He almost didn't get tickets, but he went over there two hours before curtain to see if they had any left (the store that had been selling the tickets had sold out but said that there would be some at the door). He ended up getting front row seats when someone returned two tickets.

In retrospect, he says that the front row may have been too close. Delia was a little overwhelmed and wanted to leave at intermission. He talked her into staying (by promising a trip to a McDonalds with a play structure afterwards), and she's now very pleased to have seen the play. That is, her memory of the experience is much more enthusiastic than her actual experience (which doesn't surprise me at all).

I stayed home and napped because I was sick.
