The new couch is helping my leg. Unfortunately, it's not made the problem go away entirely.

The physical therapist thinks that I'm over the piriformis syndrome but that the piriformis syndrome has caused tendonitis at both ends of my hamstring. I have new exercises to do. I'm spending ten to fifteen minutes on the kitchen floor twice a day and wishing the weather were warmer.

Tendonitis means more pain for an indefinite period, but it's also a familiar enemy. I might get lucky and have it go away quickly.

We're still trying to get rid of the old couch. Scott is regretting that he didn't take pictures of it before moving it. The way it's placed in the basement doesn't lend itself to photos. He's asking $700 for the whole thing (less than half what we paid) and slightly more for it piecemeal. Again, if anybody knows anyone local who's looking for a couch, please point them our way.

Scott has a kidney stone. Waiting for it to move to the agonizing stage is no fun for any of us. I hope we get through the holidays without that particular hell. Actually, I hope it passes rapidly without any agony at all.

We've installed one new bookshelf in the dining room. There's another new one in the garage that still needs to be gotten inside, and there are three more shelves to be retrieved from the friends who're giving them to us. I rather dread the process of getting them in and set up. I'm also concerned about getting rid of the two old shelves. This is the wrong time of year to be unable to use the garage for the car.

Anybody local need a couple of mid-size bookshelves right now?

I've uploaded many of my fics to AO3. I've left the Yuletide fics as those will come over when the archive from previous years is finally transferred. I've also left the two works in progress (which need html tagging), the two untitled kink meme fics, two NC-17 fics that needed html tagging. I held off on the last two because they weren't ready until yesterday. Uploading anything during the Yuletide rush seems unwise.

I am looking for a beta reader for chapter three of "Torsion." I'd prefer someone who's read and liked the first two chapters. Those weren't beta read at all, so I suppose I could continue without, but I'd like help to do a rewrite. Chapter three gets a bit darker than the previous two.
