After Scott got home from work on Saturday, we all three went grocery shopping. Normally he does that on Fridays after work, but we had the first meeting of our Science Olympiad event, Circuit Wizardry, on Friday. (That went pretty well. Scott had the girls (it's just Cordelia and one other fourth grade girl) make flash cards and explained a little bit about circuits. I might have to run tonight's practice solo which should be interesting. I know next to nothing about circuits).

Grocery shopping as a family leads to buying more. Usually Cordelia has no opinions about what we should buy, but seeing the food on the shelves reminds her that these are things she could eat. This isn't an awful thing. Right now, she's fairly constantly hungry and rejects most of what we've got. This time, we got her cherry tomatoes and a cantaloupe. She also got to pick out what ice cream we'd have for this week and selected rainbow sherbet.

After grocery shopping, we went for bubble tea. For dinner, Cordelia and I had leftovers (chicken noodle soup) while Scott, who'd had those same leftovers for lunch, heated up some fish sticks. We considered ordering pizza, but the roads were bad enough that that seemed like a bad idea.

On Sunday, Scott took Cordelia bowling. That didn't take too long (they had the lane for half an hour), so he took her to the mall afterward. She came home with two new shirts. She also came home covered in perfume. There was a free sample at one of the stores.

Scott couldn't smell it at all (his sense of smell was damaged when he was kid), but it made me sneeze and made my nose run. That continued all evening, even a bit after Cordelia went to bed. I figured out the next day that part of the problem was that, while hugging Cordelia, I got some perfume on my sweater. Changing sweaters helped clear up the last of the reaction. I'm not much the worse-- Mainly it's that my nose is chapped from the tissues.

I spent some time working on titles for the sections of the Narnia fic. I think I have titles for all the sections. I think I also know which section comes first. They may need to go in the order that I wrote them after all. I did build a bit on things I mentioned in earlier sections as I wrote.

I've written another short Narnia fic. This one needs a beta reader, too, but it should be much more straightforward. I need someone to check my spelling and such and to tell me whether or not the thing ever ought to see the light of day. I'm not convinced I managed to pull off the story or that it was even a good idea for a story. It's under a thousand words and quite thoroughly G rated. This one derives from The Magician's Nephew, too, but knowing that book really isn't necessary.

Anyway, if you're willing to take a look, let me know.
