I still have that headache. I haven't hit it with the right combination of meds yet. Naproxen helped the most which fits with it being menstrual.

It's been raining all night. I haven't looked yet to see how the snow is holding up. I want some of the snow to stick around because Cordelia's Girl Scout troop wants to go sledding on the 19th. I'm not optimistic, though. It's probably pretty icy out there, and I've heard we're at risk for flooding. Well, not where we are. We're at the top of a hill.

Scott's off both days this weekend. There was some risk that he'd have to work today. He had to get up at 2:00 and call in to see if they needed him. If they did, the odds favored him having to work twelve hours. Fortunately, they told him to go back to bed.

I need to corner Cordelia and ask her what she wants to do about selling Girl Scout cookies. There are neighbors who would probably buy some, but that requires ringing doorbells. I don't know if she'll want to do that. Scott can't take the order form to work. Somebody else has already sold there. She will probably end up only selling to us.

Anybody local want to buy Girl Scout cookies?

We went to Target around 12:30. We were looking for a long sleeved pajama shirt for Cordelia, a water bottle for Cordelia and boots for me. We found the first two. The selection of boots was pretty pathetic. None of them had any insulation or even looked necessarily waterproof. I'm not convinced they were meant to be winter boots. I mean, the fact that they were 30% off seemed to support the idea of them being seasonal, but...

The idea was to get a pair of boots that are easy to put on and take off so that I don't have to mess with my difficult, lace up boots that practically require a shoe horn to put on when I'm just going to be outside for five minutes, walking Cordelia to the crosswalk. I'd still wear my more difficult boots for longer jaunts because they have better traction and good ankle support.

I wanted to get my hair trimmed. It's been six months. Cordelia, however, was dead set against the idea of getting her hair trimmed, and it was past lunch time, so I chose to postpone. Maybe I'll try the new haircut place that's opened up in the strip mall across the street from Kroger. I can get there by bus, so I wouldn't have to wait for Scott. Of course, that requires getting my act together to get out there. I'm not sure it will happen.

We had lunch at Bob Evans. Cordelia and I had burgers while Scott had a chicken sandwich. I was the only one to have coleslaw (I like it even if Scott and Cordelia think I'm crazy), but we all had fries.

From there, we went to Barnes & Noble. Cordelia bought three books, using her $20 gift card and spending $9.65 of her own money. I didn't bring up the idea of an additional book as her reward for spending the night at her aunt's house. She seems to have forgotten about wanting a reward, and I'm just as happy to let it go.

Then we went to Momo Tea. Their selection of flavors isn't as good as Bubble Islands, and it cost us about $1 more per person. They do, however, have ginger tea. I got that, and it's pretty tasty. It tastes a lot like gingersnaps. I found the bubbles a little crunchy, and I don't like that, but it has been known to happen at Bubble Island, too. I'll withhold judgment until I've had their tea at least once more. Cordelia got honeydew tea and drank it down to the bubbles before she decided that she didn't like it and was going to throw it away. Scott got strawberry because that was the only one of his usual flavors that they had. He thought it was okay but not great, but that's his reaction to all bubble tea.

Next, we went to the library. I had ten or eleven holds, and Cordelia had one. She also managed to find the next two volumes in the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series that she's been reading, so she checked out three books. We were fast enough getting out of there that we didn't have to pay for parking.

Scott brought us home then went back out to do the grocery shopping. He should finish that up right in time for us to start thinking about what to make for dinner. Lunch was late enough that it's going to be a while before I'm prepared to face dinner. Cordelia will likely be hungry sooner, but she's got about a third of a burger and some fries waiting in the fridge.
