Mar. 23rd, 2014 12:01 pmCordelia had her last indoor soccer game yesterday at 4:40. It's the last one ever because she's aged out of Rec & Ed's indoor soccer program. This is the first sport she's aged out of. I don't know what we'll do during this season next year. The only option would be basketball, and she's been pretty adamant that she doesn't want to play that again.
Cordelia's team played the same team as last week, but the game was a bit more even. (Cordelia's coach has 20+ girls that he coaches and does two games a week. He randomly assigned girls to each game, so this was technically a game against his second team. It's just that some of the same girls played both weeks.) I'm pretty sure Cordelia's team scored more goals than the other team, but it was easy to lose track.
When we got home, Cordelia watched an episode of Fetch! with Ruff Ruffman from Netflix (Netflix has season one only. We're hoping they get more. It's easier to watch there than from the Fetch! website). This episode had the kids cooking, and at one point, they had spinach calzones. Cordelia and I both thought that sounded good, so Scott ordered us all calzones from Cottage Inn. There wasn't enough spinach for my taste, but it was pretty good.
We finally finished watching Frozen. We all liked it. Cordelia was a little astonished when we said that, ten years ago, they wouldn't have structured the movie this way.
We've got a busy day ahead. Cordelia has a Girl Scout hike from 1:00 to 3:00. Scott has Science Olympiad practice from 2:00 to 3:00. Then Cordelia has Science Olympiad practice from 3:30 to 4:30. Somewhere in there, we need to get to the public library, and I've promised Cordelia that we'll go to Barnes and Noble. She's about to finish the first book in a series and wants the rest. She's willing to pay for them herself rather than wait for them from the library.
