May. 4th, 2014 12:38 pmMy remix is posted. Coming up with a title was a challenge, but I managed in pretty short order. I'm not entirely pleased with where the story ended, but I think it still works.
Scott's parents came down around noon yesterday. Scott and his father put together our new grill in the garage (Scott can't get it out of the garage yet. There's a bit of a lip, and the wheels on the grill are too small to get over it without lifting). We all went to Applebee's for lunch about 1:00, 1:30. After lunch, Cordelia went home with her grandparents.
I spent the afternoon writing while Scott finished up the grill. For dinner, we went to Saica, a nearby Japanese restaurant. After dinner, we went to the new bookstore next door. Scott bought something astronomy related that he hopes to use with his Science Olympiad kids, and I bought the Manga Tarot (it was only $10, and I kind of sporadically collect tarot decks). Then we did the grocery shopping. We found everything but the lemon juice. We have no idea where Kroger hides that. After getting the groceries, we made a stop at Orange Leaf for frozen yogurt. It was quite crowded, but the line moved fast.
We came home and watched an episode of Leverage while I finished my remix. Scott read it over for me and didn't find any typos (I'm not convinced that that means there weren't any, but we tried).
I slept badly. Dinner gave me reflux. I didn't expect that. Tempura is usually safe. Scott says he slept badly too. His 2:00 alarm went off because he was too tired to remember to shut it off. I had to wake him up to shut it off because he slept through it. Then my alarm went off at 5:00 to get me up to take my thyroid medicine. Scott got up for the day around 9:30. I stayed in bed until a little after 10:00.
We went for breakfast to Cafe Marie. There was kind of a long wait. Apparently, people are still in town from undergraduate graduation yesterday. When we finally got seated, service was quick.
We came home, and I put laundry in and posted my remix. Scott's working on wrapping presents for Cordelia's birthday. They arrived in the mail yesterday, and today is our best chance to get them wrapped. Well, it's the best chance for Scott to wrap them. I'd have plenty of chances during the school day this week or next.
