Yesterday at 5:00, we went to the Girl Scouts bridging ceremony for all the troops from Cordelia's school. Scott missed it because the ceremony was really short, and he had gone home to get something.

First the Daisies bridged to Brownies. Then the Brownies bridged to Juniors. Finally, the Juniors bridged to Cadettes. Each troop welcoming the incoming girls. There was a Cadette there from the middle school's troop. I'm grateful to her for being willing to come. There were three Juniors bridging.

There was a potluck after the ceremony. I hadn't planned for us to attend because potlucks are so difficult for Scott, but Cordelia insisted that we had to attend. Scott made a last minute run to Kroger for several 2 liters of pop. As it turned out, we were the only ones to drink it. I think it was because Scott had stuck it in a cooler, and nobody could see it.

The park where the ceremony took place has a creek running through it, and most of the kids had to play in it. We let Cordelia wade for a while. She also played on the swings for a while. She was really reluctant to leave.

I slept eleven hours last night and still had a hard time getting out of bed. I've been throwing caffeine at my exhaustion, and it hasn't really helped. Unfortunately, there's a lot to do today what with laundry and Girl Scouts and such. We've already been to the library and gotten bubble tea. Now I need to get Cordelia lunch.
