Apr. 5th, 2015 10:03 amI finished the chapter I'd been working on for so long and put it into Google docs for my first reader. I'm not completely sure what I want to do next. I probably won't have a lot of time to think about it today due to family obligations, so I'll deal with that tomorrow. Too many projects that I want to work on is a good problem to have (except when it leads to none of them getting done).
Scott did most of the laundry yesterday. I think there's one load left to do today, and that should be easy enough to fit in. He also made a loaf of bread for today's family gathering. He'll cut up the broccoli we'll be taking later on today.
Scott and Cordelia went to the library about 5:00. They waited deliberately because there was a lot going on in town yesterday. There was the Hash Bash on central campus, and there was some sort of exhibition football game at the stadium. They didn't try to get bubble tea because we weren't sure how late the Hash Bash would be running. Bubble Island is only about three blocks from the where the Hash Bash was. I regret not getting bubble tea (and doing it today isn't an option because they're most likely closed for the holiday).
Scott grilled salmon for dinner, and Cordelia complained about how much she hates salmon. I'm not sure there's any source of protein she doesn't hate, so whatever.
I got a bath last night. Getting in was hard on my foot/ankle. I sat on the edge of the tub and moved one leg at a time in, but that still put a lot of weight on my bad foot. I didn't plan well. I had to call Scott in to get me a washcloth and to hand me the soap. My hair is full of tangles because I washed it in the bath. When I wash it in the shower, it's usually pretty easy to brush after it dries but not so when I wash it in the bath.
Yesterday morning, my laptop glitched on me. It couldn't find our network at all. It could see the network but couldn't connect to it (Scott was having no problem at all, so I knew it was my machine). When I went to restart it, some programs refused to close-- I had to force quite iTunes and TextEdit and at least one other program that I'm not remembering right now. When I told the laptop to restart, it just sat there and sat there. I ended up having to forcibly turn it off in order to restart it. Everything has been fine since, but that was very frustrating.
Right now, I'm waiting for Scott to get up so that he can get me my morning meds, my coffee, and my breakfast. I'm a little frustrated that he's showing no signs of getting up while I've been up for about half an hour. I really shouldn't put off my meds much longer, so I'll have to get them myself in a few minutes if he doesn't come out soon. Of course, the living room is a wreck-- I can't possibly get the walker through to the kitchen without a lot of help. I suppose I could yell for Cordelia to come. She might actually come. Maybe. I know she's up because I heard her earlier, but she's in her room, reading most likely.
Scott is tired because he stayed up late, waiting for Cordelia to turn out her light, so that he could put plastic eggs filled with candy all over the living room. I don't think Cordelia cares about that any more, but Scott has a lot of trouble letting go of things like that.
