Jun. 7th, 2015 12:50 pmI did a fair amount of writing yesterday, but none of it was my remix. I have the first couple of sentences of that in my head, though, so I should be able to work on it today. Yesterday's writing was pure id-fic that will likely never be seen by anyone but me. I may or may not write more of it. At least I was writing.
I did, early this morning, think of something to get past where I'm stuck on yet another WIP. I will have to hope that that doesn't vanish before I can get to it as that particular story has been stuck for months.
I'm still not sure I have the cold that Scott's got. My throat hurts a bit, but it just feels a little bit worse than the dry mouth issues I have from the Wellbutrin. I think I was a little bit congested when I was still in bed, but I'm not even sure about that.
Scott wants me to go with him to the library today, and that's probably a good idea. I just wish that wearing a shoe over the brace weren't quite so uncomfortable. We'll probably go around 3:00. Cordelia's at Girl Scouts right now (they're geocaching) and will get back a little after 2:00. None of us have had lunch yet, so we'll want to deal with that before we go out.
I've got two Netflix DVDs to watch, but the one I ought to watch first is subtitled with no option for a dub track. I can't watch it while I write. I have to give it my full attention. That's inconvenient just now. The other DVD is an anime with a tolerable (but not great) dub, so I can watch it while I write. It's just that the other DVD came from the queue of stuff for me and Scott to watch together (and, as it turns out, he doesn't care about this one). That means there won't be another shared DVD until I watch this one and send it back.
Most of Cordelia's socks have holes in the heels now, big holes, but she won't let us throw them out and get new ones. She doesn't even have any matching pairs. She complained this morning about how weird it feels to have sock covering part of her foot and not the rest. Oh, well. She's twelve. What she wears is up to her.
Scott bought Cordelia a replacement watch. There are two problems with it-- First, all the directions that came with it are in Japanese, and we haven't been able to find a translation online. Second, the dratted thing is solar powered, so it's apt to stop working over night if it hasn't gotten enough light the day before. Cordelia wants a watch so that she can set three alarms to go off over the course of an hour on school days, one to wake her up, one to tell it's time to eat, and one to tell her it's time to gather her stuff and get out the door. Right now, she can't do that. She can only set an alarm to go off exactly on the hour. It seems likely that there's a way to do what she wants. We just don't know what it is.
